Anthony Dornell Slaughter was born to Cape Verdean heritage in Brockton, Mass. (near Cape Cod) Before he reached his first birthday, he had relocated to St. Louis with his mom and dad. At the age of 7, Anthony's mom was tragically killed in a car accident. Soon thereafter, his father married a wonderful woman and along with that came, 4 older step-brothers. He also has one little brother and one little sister. Growing up, there was never a dull moment and of course there was always school to think about. While in high school, Anthony became very involved with extra curricular activities. In fact, Monday through Friday, he would arrive at school around 7am and would get home around 6pm. During the fall, he played volleyball his freshman & sophomore year, he later found that cross country was much better for conditioning for swimming. Anthony joined the Hazelwood East Varsity Swim Team freshman year and from there went on to win hundreds of swim meets. Every winter in high school, after school Anthony could be found in the natatorium, swimming laps. He swam every winter while in high school and even competed at the state level twice. Swimming went on to become one of Anthony's best known skill. He has over two dozen medals with over half 1st place, and a slew of ribbons! He loved swimming so much that his first job at 16, was a lifeguard at North Country Rec. In the springtime, Anthony ran track. He also found pleasure in theater. He auditioned for the very first play in high school, "The Clumsy Custard Picture Horror Show" where he played a mime. He went on to become a Thespian junior year. His favorite roles included, the Scarecrow in "The Wiz" and Sky Masterson in "Guys & Dolls." Student Council was another group Anthony became active in; in fact after just one year of membership he went on to become President. Anthony was also raised in a very religious household, so he sang in the choir at church and participated in the gospel choir at school.

As far as Anthony's career, he wanted to be a meteorologist since the age 7! That was the only thing he really ever wanted to do. At one point, he thought about pursuing Marine Biology, but after a cruise to the Carribbean - swimming with stingrays, he reverted back to weather! As a child he grew up watching The Weather Channel and soon became the family's tornado siren! Everytime there was severe weather, Anthony would be outside with a camera trying to capture the wrath of it all! After high school, he went on to pursue college at the University of Missouri - Columbia where he obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Physical & Environmental Geography with a minor in Meteorology. Anthony remained active in school participating in groups like the LBC Student Government, Gospel Choir and the Storm Chase Team. Outside of the classroom and activities, Anthony found himself hanging with friends, watching funny movies, playing video games and exploring the great outdoors! Now that Anthony is out of school he still enjoys many of the same things he did while in school; things like video games in his leisure time!

After MU, Anthony relocated back to St. Louis where he held the spot of weekend meteorologist. Now Anthony is headed to San Jose, CA where he will continue his weatherman duties and begin working on his documentary. This website will be a glimpse into the everyday life of Anthony, and also highlight the progress being made on his documentary. Aside from the academics, the lives that have been touched by Anthony are countless! From reporting the weather to life long friendships. Many people have also touched Anthony's life! His biggest role models come from his family.

His uncle, Sterling Kelby Brown, being one of his biggest influences. He's an actor on Army Wives! Another one of his biggest role models is his dad, always been a strong willed man with a good credit report! Anthony gives credit to his family and friends for molding him into the man he is today! Without a solid foundation, nothing can be done! His family was that foundation! Anthony is currently in a relationship. He has one pet, Deohgee and no kids, yet. =]
