NBC BAY AREA -KNTV (Began February 2012)
I currently work at NBC BAY AREA NEWS in the Bay Area, California. I look forward to serving the Bay Area as your local Meteorologist /Weather Producer. This is the first job that I actually do more producing than on - air weather. When I am on -air, I fill in for other staff who take time off. You can usually catch me on weekends, but some weekdays I make an appearance as well. Being in the Bay Area for nearly a year now, I have learned a lot about the area and am enjoying predicting the weather across the California Coast. One thing's for sure, the weather is much more quiet here than in the Midwest!
KSDK NewsChannel 5 (Feb. 2009 - Feb. 2012)
As I mentioned sleep deprivation is a real thing! Following graduation, in February 2009, I began working in St. Louis, Missouri as the weekend weather anchor. I worked in St. Louis for three 3 years, reporting the weather and sometimes traffic at KSDK, NewsChannel 5. In St. Louis, I was able to develop my skills and mature in the field of meteorology, and journalism. Not to mention being situated in tornado alley, things were very active year round! Over the three years I was in St. Louis, I visited over 100 local schools, educating students about the science of Meteorology! I also hosted and emceed numerous events, including the NAACP Scholarship Banquet for the three years I was there.
While working in St. Louis, I had the chance to cover the most destructible natural disaster to ever hit that large metropolis.
